Far behind

Another school semester is coming to a start and I am not looking forward to it at all. I just want to be done already. Thank the gods, I didn’t go to a college for a 4 year degree, I would be really angry right now. ;-( I love the idea of school but I turned 26 in November and I feel like I should be already passed this part of my life. I should be working on my career already, not dealing with school. I feel like I am behind because I waited to go to college. Which makes in reality my age, most everyone is done with college and going out but I decided to be a late bloomer. Normal. This has always been my case. I just wanted to live, not worry about all the bullshit, but “wanting to just live” does not pay bills as much as I would like for it too. And I’m tired of not having a career.

I want that, I want to be on a 9 – 5 life. But as of right now, I am on a second shift job, school during the day and no time for anything. See where I am going with this. Ahhh! I just want to scream.

I feel so far behind. . .

  1. It’s going to be over this year though, and that’s really soon! And who wants to live their life on society’s time schedule? Not me!

  2. You know, the 9-5 life isn’t all its cracked up to be. I mean, when I finished high school I was so happy, I took a GAP year before I started uni. I loved it, thought it was great being out of school and yeah…it paid my bills and all that kind of crap but once you make that step from school and a shift job into a 9-5 job and a career, everything becomes sooo much more complicated. You have no time for blogging, or doing the things you enjoy, your weekends become THAT much more precious to you and to top it all off: you need annual leave to take holidays.

You never know though, you could be different 🙂

BUT I wish you luck for your future career! May we all graduate with our hopes high and success in our minds! 🙂

We are in the same boat! I am so happy that I didn’t pursue a 4 year degree at this moment in my life either and I’m only 20, lol! Don’t feel bad… it’s never too late to go to college, no matter how old you are. Do you remember that one magazine article that was based on Hannah Montana’s 80 year old grandma going back to school? HA, it’s never too late… trust me!

    ~Enjoy 2012~

I feel the same way. I am twenty and not even close to done with community college yet. Dropping classes, and not finishing them. But you will get there. Once you do you will be happy to finally get there.
