On a better note

Things I got done to things that still need to be done are kind of out weighing themselves out and I go back to work tomorrow. :/ Today (Dec 15th, I haven’t been to bed yet, so it still counts as today) was my husband’s birthday so I spent it with him, and we had two days off together so I just wanted to be around him since he works a lot of days and I work nights. I miss him so much. It’s the little things I miss. Like tonight, just falling a sleep in his lap. It was amazingly nice.

Things that got done on my past list:

  • Clean Office
  • Blog / sched­uled entries
  • Vac­uum
  • Make our bed Needs to be done all over again. lol
  • Wash and put way all clothes
  • Pick up liv­ing room
  • Start din­ner

Bad thing about that list is, that most of it needs to be done on a daily and I just don’t have enough time in the day to do it.

On a better note, Kyle and I get paid on the same night at the same time every two weeks. Makes paying bills a whole lot easier. I am pissed because I have paid everything that needs it and I was going to finally buy my second monitor for my computer. (I want duel screens to make working a little easier. My job has them and you never notice how much of a help it is when you are trying to multitask) but Wal-Mart won’t let me finish my damn order. Every time I try to login, it just shows the loading screen and then it won’t go to my cart and keeps repeating the cycle and then it won’t load a style sheet. Just really random shit. . . .Finally after 15 minutes of it doing that my order is placed. I know I shouldn’t have spent the money but I am getting paid for a web project that I’m working on and also for dog/house sitting for a friend while her and her family are gone for the holidays. Between those two extra “jobs” I can get it and have extra money left over.

Well, I guess since I have paid the bills and ordered myself something, it is time to head to bed. Kyle has to be up for work at 4am and I want to sleep next to him for a couple of hours before he heads out.

A way of life

I love web design. I love anything and everything to do with it. I design for hours, just to not use the design, all because I love to code. I dream in CSS sometimes. I can read it for hours. Learning new stuff to do or I look at someone else’s design and try to re-create it. I feel like such a geek and that I am the only one that does this. Am I crazy? Most likely. Is it something I have been doing for over or right at 10 years now, yes. I love it all. I don’t know what I would be doing with myself if I wasn’t doing web design.

Saturday 9: Someday We’ll Be Together

1. Have you ever left a relationship but knew that eventually you’d get back together? Yes. The lessons I have learned.

2. Are there things that you hate to buy? Items that you either hate to spend perfectly good money on or hate to spend the time it takes to buy them? Gas. I hate to buy it. I know I need it to go to work or any where else but the money.

3. What is your favorite cartoon show and why? Family Guy, hands down. 🙂 I just love the stupidness of it all. Good to veg out sometimes and not have to think.

4. Are you anywhere close to doing what you wanted to do as a kid? Kind of. I am in college to get a degree in Web design.

5. Now that you’re in the “real world,” is your current job now really what you want to do for a living? If not, what would you ultimately like to do? My current job is Order Capture for ShopNBC. It pays nice but it isn’t want I want to be doing for the rest of my life.

6. A local university has asked you to teach a class about the one thing you know the most about. What would you be teaching and what would the name of the course be? Web Design. Course name: Web design for Dummies. 🙂

7. Commercials … they can make us laugh or can annoy the heck out of us. Tell us about your favorite commercial and/or a commercial you simply loathe. I can take them or leave them. I don’t really have a favorite or anything that I truly hate.

8. Tell us about your favorite comedy movie of all time. Umm, I really don’t have one. :/ I fail as person. lol.

9. Tell us about your favorite black and white movie of all time. Gone with the Wind. It wasn’t true B&W but very close.

Dropbox

I have learned of a new site called Dropbox it is amazing. Super easy. Apps for iPhone or Android. All you do is go to the website, sign up and you get 2GB of free space. You can access your stuff from anywhere at anytime. I love it. It works great for school. Thanks to my Cammie showing it to me. I have it hooked up so I can keep track of all my school stuff. And pictures from my phone. Totally cool and random!!
